English version

In the Global South, agricultural development and food security are crucial issues that shape the lives of millions of people, from producers to consumers. Faced with demographic, economic, climatic, and geopolitical challenges, a paradigm shift toward productive and sustainable agricultural models is essential. These models must accelerate agroecological transformation, protect biodiversity and soils, while strengthening social equity and fair remuneration for producers in a context of strengthening food sovereignty.

The FARM Foundation launches the 3rd edition of its annual prize, in partnership with The Conversation France, rewarding researchers who, through their scientific and societal commitment, make a concrete contribution to improving the living conditions of rural populations and to the development of sustainable food systems in the countries of the South.

Following the success of the first two editions, the call for applications for the FARM Prize 2027 is now open until June 30, 2026.

The Prize will reward researchers whose work demonstrates a concrete impact in countries of the South., either through field collaborations with local stakeholders (companies, agricultural organizations, NGOs), or through their contribution to public policies. They must illustrate how their research has influenced practical actions or important decisions among public and private stakeholders.
