Who is FARM?
The Foundation for Agriculture and Rurality in the World is a think tank, or more precisely a platform for reflection and action. It acts in the service of understanding agricultural and food issues across the planet, and particularly in the countries of the South.
What matters to us? Mobilize
The challenge is to ensure food security for populations, offer a decent income to producers, while respecting natural resources.
To achieve this, we are carrying out several actions:
- We disseminate our analyses on major events in agricultural news, such as, for example, the impacts of the war in Ukraine on the grain market, or the consequences of episodes of drought in the Mediterranean.
- We are investing in longer-term projects in collaboration with our research and private sector partners. For example, we are working on: pesticide reduction trajectories, in five major tropical sectors (coffee, banana, cocoa, rice and market gardening), but also on the soil fertility in West Africa.
- We organize events to share knowledge and field experiences. Our annual international conference allows us to speak out to public and private decision-makers who have the capacity to act and support transitions.
