In 2024, the FARM Foundation and its partners* launched the project AACC-Med (Adaptation of agriculture to climate change in the Mediterranean), a tool for dialogue and cooperation between Mediterranean agricultural stakeholders to share solutions and jointly formulate recommendations on adaptation.

After a first year marked by the publication of the white paper "The urgency of adaptation» and the organization of unifying events, phase 2 of the project is underway:

3 meetings between farmers in 3 different countries: Morocco, France, Egypt

In 2025, the project AACC-Med organizes exchanges between farmers from Morocco, France and Egypt, with the support of local partners such as:

Fert, Fert Morocco, the Moroccan Association of Conservation Agriculture (AMAC), the National School of Agriculture of Meknes (ENAM), the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE), AgriBioVar and the Egyptian Association for Sustainable Development (EASD)

This part of the cross-shore exchanges and participation in these meetings are not open to the public. They are reserved for selected farmers and their local counterparts, but can be followed on our social networks. Cross-shore exchanges are only open to the public during the multi-stakeholder conferences organized at the end of each meeting (see below).

Inter-bank exchanges are:

Farm visits
to share adaptation practices already in operation: crop change, diversification, soil conservation, agroecology, agroforestry, etc.

Participatory workshops
to identify the levers and obstacles to adaptation in particular financial and insurance

Co-construction of a strategy Mediterranean adaptation agricultural (capitalization, pooling, reproducibility) with all stakeholders in agricultural and food systems

Join us and participate in public conferences !

At the end of each discussion period, a multi-stakeholder conference, open to the public, is organized in each host country to:

Restore testimonials and feedback farm visits and workshops

Organize round tables
bringing together farmers, technicians, decision-makers, researchers, financiers and representatives of civil society

Conduct collective reflection
on an adaptation strategy in the Mediterranean and co-construct avenues of action for the continuation of the project

Whether you are Mediterranean producers, public decision-makers, elected officials, financiers, businesses, researchers, engaged citizens and local stakeholders

By participating in these discussions, you contribute your voice and experience to a collective approach. to bring about sustainable solutions to climate change and strengthen the resilience of Mediterranean agriculture.

*A project coordinated by the FARM Foundation with the support of its partners:
