The FARM team on a mission to Benin to promote soil fertility in West Africa
As part of its study on soil fertility in West Africa, launched at the beginning of 2024, the FARM Foundation is going on a mission to Benin from August 25 to September 1, 2024.
This mission, which marks a decisive step in our project, aims to deepen our understanding of local challenges and solutions in terms of soil management.
Our team, composed of Catherine Migault (General Manager), Thibault Soyez (Project Manager), and Noémie Bollecker (Research Officer), will be on site to meet with producers, businesses and local partners.
These discussions will enable us to gather first-hand accounts of innovative practices and ongoing initiatives to restore soil fertility in Benin.
“Confronting the realities on the ground is essential to understanding local dynamics and enriching our thinking on issues relating to soil health and productivity,” emphasizes Catherine Migault.
Indeed, this mission is crucial to ensure that our study reflects the needs and realities of local stakeholders. The results will be published by the end of the year.
