"Textiles, beauty, health... when agriculture leaves our plates" - Transition(s) Ep.6

The replay of the show on video

From cotton to linen to leather for textiles, from medicinal plants to essential oils for health... these products are at the heart of your daily life and they have one thing in common: the farmers who produce them!

Indeed, the agricultural sector not only fills our plates, it also clothes and cares for us, contributing significantly to the development of essential economic sectors. In this sixth edition of the Transition(s) program, we discuss these sectors that go beyond or complement our food.

We discuss the economic, social and environmental potential of these sectors in the North and the South, the innovations they generate and the challenges that arise in securing sustainable supplies.

On the set, three guests:

  • Andrée-Anne Lemieux, Professor at the French Fashion Institute and Director of the IFM-Kering Sustainability Chair
  • Haweya Mohamed, Co-founder of Afrobytes and The Colors
  • Sébastien Aubert, Producer/Distiller of essential oils in Vaucluse and founder of Oliflora

They answer questions from Matthew Brun, scientific director of the FARM Foundation.
