Awarded at FARM&#039;s annual international conference, this prize recognizes researchers who, through their scientific and societal commitment, make a concrete contribution to improving the living conditions of rural populations and the development of sustainable food systems. <strong>The annual prize money is \u20ac5,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FARM Foundation Award: Promoting researchers&#039; commitment to sustainable agriculture\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2B8_v32Vt1E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4><strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00514c;\">Meeting the challenge of agricultural transformations<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In the Global South, agricultural development and food security are crucial issues that shape the lives of millions of people, from producers to consumers. Faced with demographic, economic, climatic, and geopolitical challenges, a paradigm shift toward sustainable and productive agricultural models is essential. These models must accelerate agroecological transformation, protect biodiversity and soils, while strengthening social equity, fair remuneration for producers, and food sovereignty.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00514c;\"><strong>Building bridges between research and action<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Although solutions are available and being tested around the world to sustainably increase productivity and improve producers&#039; living conditions, scaling them up remains a major challenge. Investment in research, entrepreneurship, and public action remains insufficient.
